Women going through infertility have this in common
I’ve spoken with hundreds of women struggling with infertility. Every story is different, but there’s one thing they have in common.
Resilience.
Through all the tests, procedures, uncertainties, and disappointments.
The self-blame and self-doubt.
Each heartbreaking loss and the pain of starting over.
These courageous women show up and take the next step.
They search for a window when the door closes.
For each of them, the call to motherhood is too strong to ignore.
I am honored to know each and every one of them. These women inspire me daily.
My friend, Ayo Haynes, MBA, is one of those women.
Ayo is an ambitious career woman who realized her fairy-tale family would look different from the norm.
She would do it without a partner. She tried IUI and IVF…multiple rounds with no success.
When the fertility door closed, her resolve strengthened. Because becoming a mother was a non-negotiable for her life.
That’s when she saw light beaming in from a nearby window. She found out that her cousin had adopted a child as a single mother by choice.
And new possibilities emerged.
Join me this Wednesday at 1pm ET to hear her inspiring story of becoming a mother on her own terms.
