What IVF really feel like (no one prepares you for this)

This year, about 500,000 babies will be born through the miracle of IVF (in vitro fertilization).

In the U.S., 1 out of every 37 babies is born this way.

While more women are undergoing IVF, no one really prepares you for what it feels like to go through it.

I certainly didn’t feel ready.

All I knew was that IVF was likely my last hope to conceive and carry a child.

So I went forward blindly.

There’s one thing I can say for sure about IVF—it’s a physical and emotional roller coaster, and many women endure the ride largely in isolation.

We carry every disappointment and every loss.

We blame ourselves for our choices and our bodies for their shortcomings.

I wish I had a good girlfriend at the time who could have told me what it’s really like.

That’s why I’ve Lucy Froese to join me this week for a candid conversation about the IVF experience.

Both of us went through multiple rounds, and both of us got the families we always wanted using IVF.

If you’re considering this path, or if someone in your life is going through it, this conversation is for you.

Join me Wednesday, April 15th at 1pm ET.
