My Christmas wish this year
Every year around this time, my Christmas cactus blooms.
Not in spring.
Not when conditions are “ideal.”
But in the darkest, coldest weeks of the year.
Christmas cacti don’t follow the usual rules. They bloom when most plants are resting.
They don’t rush. They wait until the timing is right—𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 timing.
That’s why they’ve become such a powerful symbol for me.
They remind me that:
🌵 Growth isn’t always visible
🌵 Hope doesn’t follow a schedule
🌵 Beautiful things can emerge after long periods of waiting
For women navigating fertility journeys, delayed dreams, or life paths that don’t look “traditional,” the Christmas cactus feels especially meaningful.
It’s a quiet kind of resilience.
A reminder that blooming late doesn’t mean blooming less.
That patience can lead to abundance and breathtaking beauty.
This season, if you’re feeling behind or out of sync with the world’s expectations of what motherhood is supposed to look like, I hope you remember this:
Some of the most extraordinary blooms happen when you least expect them.
My Christmas wish this year is that all hopeful mothers find comfort, peace, strength, and beauty, believing their blooms are just beneath the surface.
Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄♥️
