The best U.S. companies for fertility benefits

Why it matters more now than ever

For years, I never thought twice about fertility coverage when looking at job offers.

✅ Salary? Sure.

✅ Career growth? Absolutely.

✅ Good medical + dental? Definitely.

✅ Culture and work-life balance? Also important.

Fortunately, when my fertility journey began, I was working for IBM—one of the early pioneers in offering fertility coverage.

And for too many families, this gap in benefits means delaying or giving up on the dream of parenthood.

That’s why, if you’re a woman building your career but also hoping to build a family, it’s time to add fertility benefits to your “Must Have” checklist.

Because the truth is, fertility treatments, adoption, and surrogacy are expensive—and without employer support, they can be out of reach for many families.

Thankfully, more U.S. employers are stepping up to support women and families with comprehensive benefits. Based on my research, here are some notable companies offering fertility, adoption, and surrogacy assistance:

  • Adobe: IVF, egg & embryo freezing, adoption, surrogacy

  • Amazon: Infertility treatment, patient care advocates

  • American Express: Adoption, surrogacy, IVF

  • Apple: IVF, egg freezing

  • Bank of America: IVF, treatment support

  • Bain & Company: IVF, egg freezing, and more

  • Boston Consulting Group (BCG): Family-building, fertility

  • Goldman Sachs: Adoption, egg donation, egg freezing

  • Google: Multiple IVF cycles, egg freezing

  • Intel: Fertility benefits, egg freezing

  • Spotify: Generous fertility benefits

  • Facebook (Meta): IVF, egg freezing, and more

  • DoorDash: Egg freezing, adoption, surrogacy (Carrot Fertility)

  • Disney: Surrogacy, family-building benefits

These employers recognize that supporting women’s health and family goals isn’t just good ethics—it’s good business.

Your location can also make a big difference. Ten states currently require employers to offer IVF coverage as part of their health insurance plans. If you live in one of these states, you already have a head start.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

Fertility challenges affect 1 in 6 people globally. And for many families, the financial strain adds heartbreak to an already difficult journey.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

So as you weigh your next career move, don’t be afraid to ask about fertility benefits. Because support for your motherhood journey should be a workplace standard—not a privilege for the lucky few.
