Sometimes the end is just the beginning…

After getting the family I dreamed about, it almost fell apart.

Ten years of struggling with infertility—half of them alone.

I thought this was the end of the story.

Turns out it was just the beginning.

I found myself in the middle of a landmark custody battle in Texas.

Defending my right to pursue an independent pregnancy with an anonymous sperm donor while legally separated from my ex.

I got t-boned by a legal semi-truck I never saw coming.

Amongst the wreckage that ensued over the next seven months, two beautiful things happened.

First, I won that court battle, retaining the right to raise my son, my way.

Second, a new mission was born.

The mission behind Cheri’s Choice. It’s the nonprofit I created that empowers women to proactively plan for motherhood on their own terms with clarity, confidence, and choice.

Today, we’re launching our new website.

Cheri’s Choice is about equipping women with the things they need to become mothers in our modern world:

My favorite part of the website is the 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲. It's a space we’re building to provide encouragement and support for women who are struggling to become mothers.
